Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticized Governor Arif Mohammad Khan over the appointment of Priya Varghese. The Chief Minister said what nonsense the Governor is raising and the present should be according to the sitting position. The Chief Minister said that the Governor is speaking in a threatening tone.

‘Do people apply for posts after asking the Chief Minister? What authority does he have to say not to apply? A relative of the chief minister’s staff is a person. They have their freedom and rights. They got the job through their own process.’ Chief Minister said.
