Children on the death of Freddy Nock: “Unfortunately, his broken heart could no longer take it in this world”
The children of the late high wire artist Freddy Nock thanked them for their sympathy via social media. At the same time, they pay tribute to the 59-year-old in their own words.
Shock, sadness, incomprehension. These feelings were triggered by the news of the death of the well-known high-wire artist Freddy Nock last Thursday. The 59-year-old was found dead in his apartment in Uerkheim on Wednesday, as the Aargau cantonal police confirmed to our newspaper.

On Thursday and Friday, various companions of Nock commented on his death. For example, showman Andreas Bauer told the television station Tele M1: “He slept in my caravan and had his place there.” Despite the sad circumstances, he wanted to remember the beautiful moments with the high wire artist.
Children express themselves on social media
On Saturday, a post on Instagram caused a stir. This was published on Freddy Nock’s profile. His children wrote the post. You wonder how you can pack and write down an entire life in just a few lines.
They do it with the words: “Dad was many things. He was a father, a son, a grandfather, a husband, a friend, a confidant, a doer, a leader and a mentor. This list is limitless, as is his passion for the high wire. He has taken the breath away of countless people with his unique talent and, as an extreme high-wire artist, has made a statement that every dream is limitless.”
However, the past few years have been very difficult for their father and have robbed him of his strength, the children write, as he has had to endure a lot of resentment and suffering.
Freddy Nock was on trial in autumn 2020. Although the Aargau Higher Court acquitted him of the charge of attempting to intentionally kill his ex-wife, this case weighed heavily on him, his former manager Ferris Bühler told Tele M1 on Friday: “Nobody wanted to use him as an advertising medium anymore, nobody wanted to book him or work with him.”
Family wants time to grieve
Back to the children and their post on Instagram. They continue to write: “We know that there are questions about the cause of his death, which is also understandable for us. Unfortunately, his broken heart couldn’t take it anymore in this world.” They would not comment further on details. They ask for understanding and time to grieve with the closest family circle.
The broken heart passage leads to the question of whether Freddy Nock took his own life, as his former manager Ferris Bühler suspected. Opposite the look, Kimberly Nock said, the 26-year-old daughter of the deceased, made it clear on Saturday evening: “We are not confirming suicide.” When, in what form and where Freddy Nock’s abdication will take place is not yet clear.
The children of the deceased also don’t forget to thank everyone for their condolences in their post.
