Four children were killed and as many injured in a knife attack at a nursery school in the city of Blumenao in southern Brazil.
“A person armed with a knife entered the school and killed four children. There are also four injured,” explained a local government source in Santa Catarina State.
Police said the 25-year-old man responsible for the attack had been arrested, but authorities did not provide further details.
Hospital Santo Antonio in the city of Blumenau said four children, aged between one month and two years, were being treated there after the attack.
