On the eve of the day when the first Advent candle was lit, the 4th grade students of Narva Pähklimäe Gymnasium visited the main estate of Father Frost in Torma.
The children were met by dwarfs, who spent their time in their winter country, showed the garden of small Christmas trees, visited the rabbit town, talked about how real Estonian bread is made, learned a song and much more. As they told the children, for almost 200 years in Talveküla manor complex Don’t stay lives a mysterious man – the brother of Santa Claus, Glemme.
Until now, he lived here quietly and almost imperceptibly to the outside world, enjoying the winter cold and snow.
Torma is a nice place where Glemmi grows Christmas trees and builds a beautiful Winter Village. However, in recent years, the winters have gotten a little worse. And Santa Claus can no longer walk everywhere and at any time, so he called for help his brother, Glammy, who left a carefree life and now welcomes children and adults along with the gnomes in his Winter Village!
It is difficult to find another such beautiful place in Estonia as Talveküla in winter. The gnomes started their acquaintance with the children from a wonderful Christmas stable, where they saw a mini-zoo, a town of rabbits, goats, geese and could feed them themselves.
In the workshop, together with the gnomes, everyone could send Christmas wishes from Father Frost’s mailbox.
A separate mission was waiting for the guys on the Christmas tree alley: each of them brought New Year decorations from home to decorate the winter beauty. By the way, now this Christmas tree, with the inscription “Pahklimae Gymnasium Narva. 4R class” will take part in the competition, which will be held at the end of January 2023. So, there is every chance to win a prize!
After an active walk in the fresh air, the children had a hearty lunch at the Santa Claus restaurant, where everyone was treated to a fragrant and hot treat, and those who wished even received a supplement. By the way, Santa Claus cooks himself as well as he grows spruces: after all, these are his favorite activities!
At the Gnome Academy, the children got acquainted with an interesting story, learned from which grain real Estonian rye bread should be made and appreciated its taste.
And of course, as expected, in the main office of Santa Claus, the guys talked with the owner of the winter estate, received individual gifts. And the class teacher Lyubov Yarushkina received another memorable gift from Santa Claus – a small Christmas tree, which the guys promised to plant in the spring near their school building.
The winter village is located in the fabulous manor complex of Torma. The winter country of Santa Claus “Talveküla” is open to the public from November 19 to January 15.
