On the night of Saturday July 27 to Sunday July 28, 2024, a Liège Scout camp in Vielsalm, Luxembourg province, was attacked by several people.
According to Belgian media, a group of scouts were attacked by three men at midnight in a meadow in Vielsalm, Luxembourg. RTBF,
Cubs, strollers and young children aged six to twelve slept in tents there. A nine-year-old girl was injured, suffering bruises and injuries. A psychiatric unit has been set up.
Increasing attacks
The attackers got out of their van and entered the grassy area.”These individuals made death threats against the youth movement. They fled, leaving the children and facilitators in a state of shock. Scout Federation spokesman Gilles Beckers specified in his comments that RTBF, “Tents were tagged, cut, torn.”
