Santiago: In Chile, an employee’s bank account was credited with a salary of Rs 1.42 crore instead of Rs 43,000. The employee who said he would hand over the money to the company has gone undercover. So, now the company has decided to approach this matter legally.
Chile is one of the countries located in South America. It happened at a company called Cial that operates in that country. Last May, the employee’s bank account was paid 246 times more than his regular monthly salary. It was only when the company checked the accounting cases that it noticed that this mistake had taken place. Continue to contact that employee.
He also went to his bank and told them that he would take care of the task of returning the money to the company account. But it seems he could not be contacted after that. Contact on phone but no answer.
The man then contacted HR unit officers. He said he fell asleep due to work fatigue and went to the bank to take care of sending money. But he sent his resignation letter on June 2nd.
Only then did the company realize that the employee was in hiding with the money he received. The company is currently pursuing legal action to recover the money from him.
