Chiles en nogada are back at VIPS…

VIPS revealed its new patriotic menu, which includes chiles en nogada, bicolor enchiladas and cecina Independencia.

The chain, which is celebrating its first 60 years in Mexico, showed its tricolor menu that will be available in all its branches until October 6.

Vips managed to sell more than 300 thousand chiles en nogada last year, so it expects record sales this year.

The menu includes:

· The bicolor enchiladas: Their delicious chicken enchiladas bathed in mole poblano and green pipián.
· The patriotic molcajete: A mix of cecina, grilled chicken, chorizo, panela cheese, avocado, onions and chile toreado, served over campesino beans.
· Cecina Independencia: Cecina with two enchiladas filled with panela cheese, country beans, roasted cactus and cambray onions.
· Chile en nogada: The delicious traditional recipe of poblano chile stuffed with meat and fruit, bathed in nogada sauce. It can be breaded or unbreaded.
