The Provincial Board of Chimborazo, led by its president Norma Reinoso on behalf of the Prefect Hermel Tayupanda, has made a significant delivery of medicines to vulnerable people in the cities of Riobamba and Penipe. This act of solidarity seeks to guarantee access to essential treatments and supplements for those who need them most.
In Riobamba, one person received 18 boxes of medicines that will cover their treatment for a year. This support is crucial to improving the quality of life of beneficiaries, especially those with chronic diseases or mental health conditions.
In the Penipe canton, Graciela Andrade was one of the beneficiaries of this aid. She received 30 jars of nutritional supplements for her little son, enough to cover six months of nutrition. Gratefully, Graciela said: “Thanks to the Provincial Board of Chimborazo, I have been able to help with milk for my baby. I am very grateful and wish them success so that they can continue helping people who truly need it. May God bless them.”
Norma Reinoso highlighted the importance of these deliveries: “We have delivered 30 nutritional supplements for a child in a vulnerable state, in addition to being present in Riobamba with the delivery of medicines to a person with mental problems. As a Provincial Board, we help families with limited economic resources. Both the Board and the Prefecture of Chimborazo are committed to providing support to those who need it most.”
