A well-known Bavarian fireplace and stove manufacturer has unexpectedly filed for bankruptcy. Around 30 employees are affected and fear for their future.

A well-known stove and fireplace builder from Upper Palatinate, who also operated nationwide, is surprisingly insolvent. The fireplace and stove builder RAMFIRE Group filed for bankruptcy on June 19, 2024, as the company announced on its website. “We were in preliminary insolvency proceedings until August 30, 2024,” it reads.

The company was sold on September 1st. A new owner will continue the business under a new legal entity. It is currently being examined which orders can still be continued by the purchaser of the RAMIRE Group. The insolvency administrator Jochen Zaremba confirmed the process to the “Mittelbayerische Zeitung”.

The stove company was founded in 2016 and claims to be one of the “largest stove construction companies in Germany”. In addition to its headquarters in Neumarkt, RAMFIRE also operates locations in Bayreuth, Heinersreuth and sales offices in Jena and Munich. Around 30 employees are now affected by the insolvency.

The insolvency administrator explained that “operational activity had not been going on much” at the headquarters in Neumarkt in Bavaria’s Upper Palatinate a year ago. Ramfire Kamine had only bought the locations in Upper Franconia a year ago and they were doing well, according to Zaremba.

The German economy is also currently in a permanent slump. In the first quarter, gross domestic product grew by 0.2 percent. However, this was followed by a decline of 0.1 percent in the spring because less was invested in assets such as machinery and buildings.
