/ The Future Iraq Foundation for Economic Studies and Consultations reported on Sunday that the rate of Chinese goods exported to Iraq had risen to exceed $10 billion by the end of September of this year.
The corporation said in a report published today that, according to data from the Chinese Customs Authority, the value of Chinese goods exported to Iraq until the end of September 2023 amounted to 10.7 billion dollars, an increase of 11.5% compared to the same period last year, which amounted to only 9.6 billion dollars.
According to the report, electrical appliances, which constitute the largest proportion of Chinese exports, rose to $2.14 billion, or 34%, compared to last year.
China’s iron exports also increased by 39% compared to last year, according to the corporation’s report.
The report added that electronic devices decreased by 5% compared to the same period last year.
China is Iraq’s first partner in trade, which amounts to more than 50 billion dollars annually.
