Recently, relations at various levels between China and the EU have been restored, which has yielded fruitful results. While maintaining partnership, cooperation and the pursuit of mutual benefit, the two countries should respect each other’s interests and prepare for their next summit, Wang Yi stressed.
Josep Borrell pointed out that despite the existing competition between them, relations between China and the EU are developing well and cooperation is increasing. He indicated that he supports the development of bilateral relations and trade contacts, the constructive handling of disagreements, and declared himself against a split with China. The EU will continue to adhere to the “one China” policy and strengthen its contacts with Beijing to address climate change and other global challenges.
