China has embarked on a serious effort to set up its military base in Islamabad-Pakistan. It is working with our neighbor China and Pakistan to build a road under the name of ‘China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’.
The separatists there are strongly opposed to this route coming through the province of Balochistan in Pakistan. Recently, four people including three teachers from China were killed in a female suicide attack in Pakistan. Two months ago, a female suicide bomber who planned to attack the vehicles of the Chinese authorities was arrested. These developments and the slowdown in economic corridor work have worried China. Subsequently, a delegation headed by Yang Jaichi, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee, recently arrived in Islamabad. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Kumar Javed met and discussed.
