China has publicly warned of dire consequences if the US intervenes in the Taiwan affair.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said yesterday while speaking on the Taiwan issue: –
The United States is unnecessarily promoting Taiwan and giving it the power to demand independence. He accused the United States of taking Taiwan on a path of destruction.

Such actions would only adversely affect the United States. So Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has publicly warned that the US could face dire consequences if it intervenes in the Taiwan affair. He also said that the Taiwan region had no choice but to merge with the Chinese homeland.
