A Boeing 737-800 with 132 passengers on board crashed in a mountainous area in China last Monday. It was the deadliest plane crash in ten years. Investigators are working hard to determine the cause of the crash.
What happened?
The Boeing MU5735, which took off from Kunming, was flying at an altitude of about 29,000 feet above the ground. The plane took off for Guangzhou in the eastern part of China. As it was about to land at 100 kilometers, suddenly the plane started to fall down. In exactly one minute and 35 seconds, the plane lost control and crashed into a steep hillside. All 132 people aboard the plane were killed in the crash.
In the current context the causes of this accident cannot be predicted very accurately. Aircraft malfunction, weather threat, sudden illness of the pilot or suicide, terrorist attack can be cited as the reasons for this accident. However, no definite information about this has been released yet.
What is the purpose of the researchers?
The plane’s black box has now been recovered. The cockpit recorder is in the black box of the aircraft. This will be an audio recording of the conversation between the pilots before the plane crash. This will be studied by researchers. The black box that was recovered in this accident is so badly damaged that it is high time to inspect it.
Pilots Profile:
One of China’s most experienced commercial pilots and two young pilots piloted the crashed Boeing. The captain of this aircraft was a Boeing 737 with only 6,709 hours of Flying Hours experience. The first co-pilot had a total of 31,769 hours of Flying Hours experience. The second co-pilot has a total of 556 hours of Flying Hours experience. All of them have excellent work experience.
What else happened?
The last seconds of the plane that crashed are filmed on a CCTV camera of a mining company. No details were available as to how true this was. However, the plane came to a halt for ten seconds before the plane crashed, and then flew to an altitude of 8,000 feet. Meteorological officials have made several attempts to contact the pilots involved in the crash. However, no response was given on the part of the pilots.
China Eastern Interpretation
China Eastern says a full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash. The crashed Boeing aircraft was brought into use in 2015. Its maintenance was carried out at regular intervals without any discrimination, a Chinese Eastern spokesman said.
