Beijing: After two years, China has allowed international passenger flights again.

China banned international passenger flights in 2019 following the spread of the Corona virus. In this case, China has announced that it will allow international passenger flights again as the spread of corona in China has decreased. At the same time, China is yet to announce the resumption of passenger flights with India, which have been suspended for more than two years.

More than 23 thousand students from India are studying medicine in China. They are unable to return to China due to visa restrictions. Accepting India’s request, China lifted visa restrictions for Indian professionals and students last month. After that they are ready to return to China.

However, they are unable to travel to China as direct passenger flights between India and China have not yet been approved. Many are waiting for China to re-allow Indian flights as it costs more to go through a third country to China.
