BEIJING: China has flown three more passengers to its own space station, Tiangong, where construction is in progress. The passengers were sent on a six-month mission with the aim of completing the construction of the plant by the end of the year.

Within hours of reaching its destination, the Chinese space agency said the Shenzhou 14 spacecraft was connected to the main module of the Tiangong station.

Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Kei Shuje are on the mission. The launch of the mission was broadcast live throughout China. Once completed, China will become the only country to have its own space station.

The current International Space Station (ISS) was built in collaboration with various countries.
