The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced on Tuesday that China has allocated 6GHz spectrum for 5G and 6G systems. The ministry indicated that such spectrum is the only high-quality resource with a large intermediate frequency bandwidth, taking into account its coverage and capacity advantages, and noted that the 6GHz range is especially suitable for future deployments of 5G or 6G systems.
