The new fashion trend in… “flaming” due to heat China is the so-called facekini.
With the mercury consistently above 35 degrees Celsius and the perceived temperature much hotter, locals and tourists are resorting to everything from portable fans to hats to protect themselves. In fact, a few days ago, the 12-meter thermometer in the Fleming Mountains in Xinjiang showed the unimaginable value of 80 degrees Celsius.
A 12-meter-tall thermometer at the Flaming Mountains, a major attraction for visitors in Xinjiang, recorded a barely believable ground surface temperature of 80C (176F).

In this hot climate, an older accessory that covers the entire head except for the eyes and nose is proving extremely popular.

The facekini (combining the words face and the second half of the bikini) is made of lightweight, UV-resistant fabric and comes with sleeves that cover the arms, a hat and sometimes a vest.
The#facekini” is back trending in the summertime. In#Qingdao #Chinawomen wear different prints of “facekini” which offer extreme #sun-protective qualities on the beach. Invented by an enterprising local, it brings functional necessity, and has also become a fashion statement. pic.twitter.com/9ofuNcaFaT

Many women in Asia use face skins not only for protection from the sun, but also because they want their skin to be white.
