The official opening of the 2024 Olympic Games was held on Friday night. Today Saturday is the final round of 13 events. Where 13 gold will be awarded. But today, Kazakhstan won the first medal of the Paris Olympics. And China won the first gold. The first silver went to South Korea.
Kazakhstan beat Germany 17-5 to win the bronze medal in the 10m air rifle mixed event. Alexandra Lee and Satpaev Islam played for them. On the other hand, Anna Janssen and Maximilian Ulbricht played for Germany. Jansen ranked number one in the world. And Ulbricht is 19th. The two were clear favorites against Kazakhstan’s Li (33rd) and Satpaev (95th). But could not win bronze.
China beat South Korea to win the gold in this event. Which is the first gold medal event in Paris Olympics. They beat Korea 16-12. Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao played in pairs for China. On the other hand, Keum Ji-Hyun and Park Ha-Joon played for Korea. Korea won the first silver in this year’s Olympics.
