The covid rates are soaring in many foreign countries including China. The number of deaths and hospitalizations in China is increasing daily. Although China does not release any official figures, more than 10 lakh people are currently infected, according to the British health organization ‘Airfinity’. This organization shares the information that there are more than five thousand covid deaths in China every day.

The World Health Organization is now stating that it is concerned about the high covid rates in China. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization, said this. He also said that he will provide necessary support to the healthcare system in China.

The World Health Organization also mentioned that several countries have imposed travel bans on travelers from China. Tedros said it is understandable that countries are taking measures to protect their people when accurate information about the spread of the disease is not available. He also stated that he has been continuously asking China to hand over some data related to it and conduct studies to find the source of Covid.

At the same time, the central government has issued an order making the Covid-negative certificate mandatory for those coming to India from six foreign countries, including China. Passengers coming from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Thailand should upload the RTPCR test result on the Air Suvidha portal. The order states that this will be strictly enforced from January 1.

Experts have warned that there will be an increase in the number of covid cases in the country by the middle of January and caution should be taken. Currently, the majority of international travelers who have been confirmed to have Covid-19 have mild symptoms. Therefore, experts are of the opinion that even if the number of Covid cases increases, the number of people seeking treatment in the hospital will be less.

As the spread of Kovid continues to intensify, China has withdrawn the mandatory quarantine requirement imposed on travelers arriving from abroad. From January 8, there will be no mandatory quarantine for travelers arriving in China from abroad. But those coming from abroad will have to undergo a covid test. The last condition imposed as part of the zero covid tolerance policy announced by China is avoided by this. At present, the mandatory quarantine imposed by China for those arriving from abroad is five days. Along with this, China also announced that all visa restrictions will be lifted.
