The Chinese government has set aside 1.45 yuan ($ 230 billion) this year for military spending. This is 7.1 percent more than last year.
In 2021, China allocated $ 209 billion, an increase of 6.8 percent to the military. Thus the country’s military budget crossed $ 200 billion for the first time.
Speaking in the Chinese parliament, Prime Minister Li said, “The People’s Liberation Army must be prepared for a comprehensive war. We need an extended, sustained military struggle to protect the sovereignty, security and development of the country. ”
This is more than three times India’s current military budget of $ 5.25 trillion ($ 70 billion).
