China’s policies weigh the future of international students

by time news

BEIJING: China is reportedly making the future of its students uncertain by not admitting international students. Most of the students who have returned to their home country in the name of Kovid restrictions are finding it difficult to go back. More than five lakh international students are studying in China.

The future of millions of international students studying in Chinese educational institutions is in the dark. All colleges have been shut down in the name of restrictions as a new variant of the Kovid virus, Omicron, is spreading in China.

Countries have WHO guidelines and standards for dealing with covid. However, there are special exemptions for all students. Accordingly, while many other countries have allowed students to return, China has allowed very few to return.
