Chinese border issue re-emerges in Parli.; Cracks in opposition unity Dinamalar

by time news

Cracks have been exposed in the opposition parties’ stand against the central government, which insists on holding a debate in Parli on the conflict that took place on the India-China border.

On the 9th, our neighbor China’s army tried to change the current position of the border line at Yangtse in Dawang area of Arunachal Pradesh. Our army thwarted this attempt to invade Indian territory. The opposition parties are busy demanding a detailed discussion in both houses of Parli about this matter.

Yesterday, for the second day, the opposition parties insisted on holding a debate on the same issue in both houses. In the Lok Sabha, after Question Time, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury spoke on the China border issue:

War broke out between India and China in 1962. Even at such a critical time, then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru gave opportunity to MPs of all parties to speak in both Houses.

160 MPs spoke in the debate held in Parli. But for now, let’s not even have a small debate; The central government wants this matter not to be left in Parli. This cannot be accepted; Have a discussion.

Thus he spoke.

Speaker Ombirla refused permission for this and the Congress MPs walked out of the House. Along with them, the Nationalist Congress MPs also walked out, but the Trinamool Congress MPs did not.

Next, when the question hour was over and the zero hour started, Trinamul Congress MP Sudeep Bandopadhyay raised an issue regarding the same Chinese border issue.

When the Speaker refused permission for this too, the Trinamool Congress MPs joined forces. After chanting for a few minutes, they walked out. In support of them, Congress and Nationalist Congress MPs did not walk out but sat inside the House.

Leader of Opposition Mallikarjuna Kharge also raised the same issue in the Rajya Sabha. Then he said:

In the matter of the border conflict, the central government is covering up many things. Not only the MPs in this House, but every citizen of the country needs to know the full details of the incident at the border. For this, we need to discuss this issue.

Thus he spoke.

Rajya Sabha Vice President Harivan Singh, who refused to allow this, said, “On the government side, Defense Minister Rajyanath Singh has already submitted a report on this issue. The information in his report is sufficient. Therefore, we cannot keep talking about this issue again and again,” he said. Subsequently, the Congress MPs staged a protest and walked out. But the Trinamool Congress MPs did not walk out in the Rajya Sabha either.

The Trinamool Congress, which participated in the consultative meetings called by the Congress, took a separate stand in the House and walked out alone. As a result, cracks have been exposed among the opposition parties in their stand against the central government.

In this case, it has been decided to send a ‘notice’ on behalf of the opposition parties, insisting that an urgent discussion should be held in both houses of Parliament regarding this issue.

In this regard, Rajya Sabha Congress, President Mallikarjuna Kharge, in a meeting held yesterday at Parli premises, Congress, – DMK, – MDMK, – VC, – Aam Aadmi Party, Representatives of 17 opposition parties, including the Rashtriya Janata Dal, participated.

Trinamul Congress did not participate in this meeting either.
