Islamabad: Pakistan is already facing a huge energy crisis. Meanwhile, his friend China has given a big blow, due to which Jinnah’s country may sink into darkness. Work on the Dasu Hydro Power Project has been stopped after the attack targeting Chinese engineers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Harbin Electric International Company (HEI) Limited, the Chinese company overseeing the project, has issued a notice of force majeure halting work citing the serious security situation in Pakistan. Media portal Balochistan Post has given information about this in its report. Chinese engineers have stopped this work at a time when the Prime Minister of Pakistan himself had come to meet the engineers a few days ago and had assured them of safety. But it seems that the Chinese citizens do not even trust the words of the Prime Minister of Pakistan. On March 26 last month, there was a terrorist attack on the convoy of Chinese engineers going from Islamabad to Dasu, in which a Pakistani driver and 5 Chinese citizens were killed. . After this incident, fear has been created among the Chinese employees regarding the safety of their personnel in the area. The result of this is that now the Chinese company has stopped the progress of the project. The Chinese company has informed that work on the 765 kW transmission line project related to Dasu Hydro Power Project has been suspended.

Power project work may stop

Yu Hong, project manager of the 765-kilowatt transmission line project Lot-2, said the attack has had a negative impact and work has been affected, Balochistan Post reported. He expressed apprehension that the work on the hydro power project may be completely suspended. Concerns have already been raised in Pakistan over the delays in the project, as the project is already behind schedule as per the agreement.

Is RAW really killing by entering the house, what did Pakistan say?

After the information from the Chinese company, the officials in Pakistan have been troubled. This information comes at a time when Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is expected to visit China to express solidarity and discuss the situation with his Chinese counterpart. Meanwhile the Chief Engineer/Project Director of DASU has sought legal advice on how to proceed in light of HEI’s concerns, stressing the need to ensure smooth completion of the project and avoid further delays.
