Beijing: Chinese defense experts issued a warning as South Korea-US joint military exercises progress. It is revealed that North Korea has a weapon capable of destroying the United States in just half an hour. North Korea had threatened against the joint military exercises the other day.
The report has been released by the Chinese defense journal ‘Modern Defense Technology’. In the study, Chinese defense experts evaluated the Wasong-15 ballistic missiles tested by North Korea. Wasong has a range of 13,000 km and is capable of carrying nuclear weapons. If the missile is fired from the center of North Korea, it will take just 1,997 seconds to reach Central America. That is only 33 minutes.
If North Korea launches a missile, the US missile defense headquarters will be alerted within 20 seconds. Anti-missile missiles can be launched from the defense base at Fort Greeley, Alaska, 11 minutes after the warning. Failing that, the missile will be launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. If this also fails, there is a warning that the North Korean missile will have swallowed a large part of the US.
The target of the Wasong missile, located in South Yongan Province, is the Central American state of Columbia, Missouri. The missile is capable of rapidly engulfing all of the east and west coast cities of the US. The Chinese study points out that if the US defense systems fail to break it, a large part of the country will be destroyed within seconds.
