Chinese, Russian ships in disputed East China Sea: Japan vs. Dinamani

by time news

Japan has expressed its opposition to the arrival of Chinese and Russian warships in the islands belonging to them in the East China Sea.

Japan claims the Sengoku Islands in the East China Sea. At the same time, China claims the island as Diaoyu and claims it as part of its territory.

In this case, the Ministry of Defense of Japan said that Russian and Chinese warships entered the Sengaku Island area on Monday. Regarding this, Japanese Cabinet Secretary Seiji Kihara said that Sengaku Island belongs to Japan historically and according to international law. He said that we are protesting the arrival of a Chinese ship in this island area.

Responding to this, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said: This island belongs to China. It is legal for the Chinese warship to visit this island. He said that Japan has no right to make such irresponsible comments.

There is no clear information about the background reason behind the visit of Chinese and Russian warships to the Sengoku Island area. However, it is said that the ships may have gone there to avoid a storm at sea.
