BEIJING: Three Chinese astronauts, who spent six months exploring China’s new space station, returned safely to Earth yesterday.
Soldiers are being sent to stay at the International Space Station, built by the United States, Russia, Japan and Canada. Meanwhile, our neighbor China built a separate space station last year. On October 15, three astronauts, Joy Jingkong, Wang Yaping and Ye Kwangbu, were sent to the space station, dubbed ‘Tianhong’.
After a six-month stay at the space station, they returned to Earth yesterday. The trio landed safely at 9:56 a.m. with the help of a parachute in the Kobe Desert in China’s Inner Mongolia. All three astronauts were in good health, a medical team said.
Prior to this, the Chinese soldiers had set a record by staying in space for 92 days. In this case, the record is currently broken.
