Chong Kun Dang Holdings conducted a summer blood donation campaign.

Chong Kun Dang Holdings announced on the 1st that it conducted the ‘2024 Summer Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign’ to stabilize blood supply.

The campaign was carried out from July 23 to 31 at six business sites, including Chong Kun Dang’s Chungjeong-ro headquarters, Cheonan Plant, Hyojong Research Institute, Chong Kun Dang Bio’s Ansan Plant, Kyungbo Pharmaceutical’s Asan Plant, and Chong Kun Dang Health’s Dangjin Plant. In the blood donation campaign that was held twice this year, 219 employees participated and donated blood donation certificates. The donated blood donation certificates will be delivered to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation.

In addition, we decided to create a matching fund of 10,000 won per employee who donated blood to support the improvement of the aging facilities of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation’s Pediatric Cancer Center.

Since 2010, Chong Kun Dang Holdings has been conducting blood donation campaigns to help solve the blood shortage during the summer when blood donations decrease and to help children with cancer. Over the past 15 years, 2,336 employees have participated in blood donation and donated a total of 1,920 blood donation certificates.

An official from Chong Kun Dang Holdings said, “Blood donation is the most direct and proactive way to save precious lives,” and added, “We hope that the warm hearts of Chong Kun Dang family employees will be conveyed to pediatric cancer patients through the blood donation campaign.”

In addition to blood donation campaigns, Chong Kun Dang Holdings is carrying out various social contribution activities for sharing and coexistence in the local community, such as the ‘Mobile Opera Hope Story’ for patients, their families, and medical staff, ‘Sharing Healthy Meals’ for the elderly who live alone, ‘Creating a Classroom Forest’ for eco-friendly practices, and the Seoul Fortress Road Environmental Cleanup Activity.
