More than 2,000 votes determine the theme of World Mental Health Day 2023
‘Mental health, world health: a universal right’ has been the motto chosen, by popular vote, to commemorate next October 10.
A total of 2,189 The votes have determined what will be the motto with which the associative movement of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA will commemorate the next World Mental Health Day 2023. ‘Mental health, global health: a universal right’ is the winning slogan of the popular online voting process, which began on May 24 and ended today, June 1, to select one of the five options presented for this edition.
He 29% of the votes went to the winning slogan. The second option obtained 22.6% of the votes.
It is the tenth consecutive year that the Confederation has opened to a popular vote the choice of the motto to celebrate this important date, thus motivating the participation of all entities and people linked to the associative movement SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, as well as any other person interested in the mental health related issues.
As in previous editions, MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN attends to the topic proposed by the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH for its acronym in English), which this year has focused on the mental health as a universal human right.
Based on this premise, members of the Committee for Mental Health In First Person of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA and of the State Network of Women of the Confederation, as well as the technical team of the Confederation, have worked to propose the five mottos that have been disputed for voting.
Finally‘Mental health, global health: a universal right’, has been the chosen slogan and the one that SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA and its member entities will use to develop the campaign that will commemorate World Mental Health Day.

Mental health, a universal right’ is the motto that came in second place, with 22.6% of the votes, followed by ‘Mental health, a universal human right. for a dignified life‘, with 17.3%, ‘We are people, we are rights, we are visible. For universal mental health‘, with 16.8%, and ‘For dignified and universal mental health. It is our right’which has obtained 14.3% of the votes.
