In Tunceli, hometown of CHP Chairman and presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu; While CHP Tunceli Deputy Polat Şaroğlu was not nominated, Hüsniye Karakoyun, the privileged owner of Emek Newspaper, which is the only female employee in the region, was nominated as a CHP deputy.

According to the population data of the Supreme Election Board (YSK), Tunceli had fallen to 1 out of 2 deputies. In the 2018 general elections in Tunceli, Polat Şaroğlu was elected from the CHP and Alican Önlü from the HDP.
