Christian Lindner and Franca Lehfeldt get married: does this wedding fit into the times? | entertainment

by time news

The heads of the political elite are on the guest list when Christian Lindner (43, FDP) and Franca Lehfeldt (33, chief reporter for politics at WELT TV) get married on Sylt this week.

It will be the YES of the year! But is such a ceremony appropriate for a finance minister in the current crises?

► A pro and con for the Lindner wedding.

Germany is groaning under inflation, and the energy crisis is affecting many. And yet in 2022 there will be around 350,000 weddings here.

Of course, THESE people are all allowed to celebrate their love however they want. The Federal Press Ball took place in April, despite the Ukraine war! Only the politician Christian Lindner should now cancel or reduce his yes word – i.e. invite guests? No!

Tanja May thinks: Christian Lindner and Franca Lehfeldt should celebrate their love

Lindner and his partner Franca Lehfeldt already have the ceremony from Italy because of the costs for security personnel etc relocated to Sylt. Out of respect for the taxpayers.

Unfortunately, an end to the difficult times is not in sight at the moment. Even a minister should and must have the right to celebrate his wedding anyway. Anything else would be a sad rejection of love and life.

And that’s exactly what matters.

It is a dream wedding in the truest sense of the word. Because most citizens can only dream of such a luxury wedding.

In the style of the Klum wedding on Capri, Finance Minister Christian Lindner wants to let it rip. In the noble hotel on Sylt, with crabs, champagne and celebrity glamour.

In the crisis summer of 2022 of all places!

Germany is threatened with a mega recession. The industry trembles before full gas rationing in winter. Because of the expensive shock, more and more citizens are already having to save on clothing and food.

In short: The country is expecting hard times – but the top treasurer is celebrating like there’s no tomorrow.

Everyone treats Christian Lindner to a nice party. But the party of the year on the “rich island”?

It doesn’t fit the times – and it doesn’t fit a finance minister.
