He belonged to the guard of the great bridge builders between France and Germany after the war, the political scientist and journalist Alfred Grosser. born in 1925 in Frankfurt am Main, he emigrated to France in 1933 because of his Jewish origins and taught at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris and worked for various media. Now he has died in France and we are talking to one of Alfred Grosser’s companions, Christiane Deussen, in Paris.
She talks about her collaboration with Grosser for the Maison Heinrich Heine in Paris, which she managed until six months ago; a German-French cultural center where Alfred Grosser was most recently honorary president. She reports on who Alfred Grosser was and what significance his work had for German-French relations.
