Before Jesus Christ began his ministry, he fasted for 40 days. To commemorate this, Christians fast. This fast ends with the festival of Easter. Accordingly, the first Christians started fasting on March 2.
The Sunday before Easter is celebrated as Palm Sunday. Accordingly, a procession was held at St. Anna’s Church, Erode yesterday morning, led by the Diocesan Priest John Xavier. It started near BC Park and ended at Churchill.
Similarly the CSI, the procession in the church also started at the church, proceeded through Meenakshi Sundaranar Road to the Savita junction and reached the church again.
