After Super Kiki’s comments about Christos Mastoras and his foundation, many reactions followed. The issue was discussed on the morning of Tuesday, October 15, 2024 and at Breakfast@Star, with Eteocles Pavlou making a statement about the singer.

Eteocles Pavlou noted typically: “I want to make something clear regarding the origin of Christos Masteros. The man is from Northern Epirus, not from Albania. Not that it matters. Wherever it was, to tell the truth, just because the issue is being discussed, I want to make it clear.”

“I was angry. I heard it and I could not believe my ears that such a thing could be said. I understood that he is going to make it funny, but there is no humor in some things,” said Eleni Hatzidou in her turn.

Christos Mastoras comes from the minority village of Vodino, one of the northern villages in Albania where Greeks live, and he came to Greece with his parents at the age of 3.5 years.

His family settled in Koukaki, where he went to school, but also took his first musical steps. In primary school, he created a group with two friends, writing and performing lyrics to his father’s prepared harmony rhythms. At the same time, he started guitar lessons.

May 2008 was crucial in his life, as the band MELISSES was created, which developed into one of the most successful bands in the Greek discography
