People with various lung diseases are at risk of developing chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (CPA), even with a good immune status. This leads to increased morbidity and mortality and represents a significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. Drug therapy is carried out with triazoles, which have to be taken over a long period of time. Coinfections with mycobacteria have a particularly unfavorable prognosis.
