‘Suspicion of unfair contract‘ Na Na Solo PD avoids receiving attendance request form
Kang Yoo-jeong “The National Assembly was deceived… “Subsequent for non-attendance”… Jeon Jae-soo “severe response”
Reporter Won Tae-seong = President of the Korea Football Association Chung Mong-gyu, who was selected as a witness for the government audit due to the ‘controversy over the selection of the national soccer team coach’, submitted a written statement explaining his absence.
Producer Nam Gyu-hong, I Am Solo, was chosen as a witness on suspicion of forcing unfair contracts on writers and trying to steal re-show fees, and is causing controversy as he appears to be avoiding receiving attendance requests.
Chairman Chung was scheduled to appear as a witness at the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee audit on the 22nd and 24th, and PD Nam was scheduled to appear on the 24th.
Kang Yoo-jeong, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized at the audit of the Culture and Sports Committee held on the 18th, saying, “Chairman Chung left the country for Dominica today after submitting a letter of absence yesterday citing his participation in women’s soccer,” adding, “I think this was a deception of the National Assembly.”
In addition, “The Football Association announced Chairman Chung’s absence from the national inspection on the 22nd and said that the schedule to attend the ‘FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup’ should be adjusted for the comprehensive audit on the 24th. However, looking at the reason for non-attendance, Chairman Chung was absent at 5:30 pm on the 25th. He said, “If Chairman Chung fails to appear for both National Assembly inspections, please consider submitting a motion to see if we should report Chairman Chung before the National Assembly inspection on the 24th.”
Regarding PD Nam, Rep. Kang also said, “The National Assembly administrative office called PD Nam Kyu-hong to deliver a witness attendance request, but he has not received any communication since then.” “It wasn’t the address,” he complained.
He then requested, “Regarding this as well, if PD Nam does not appear at the National Assembly inspection on the 24th, I would like the complaint against PD Nam to be placed on the agenda.”
In response, Jeon Jae-soo, chairman of the Culture and Sports Committee, said, “Chairman Chung Mong-gyu and producer Nam Gyu-hong will be dealt with sternly at the committee level,” and predicted that they would be prosecuted if they do not appear.
Meanwhile, if a person selected as a witness for a government audit intentionally avoids receiving an attendance request or fails to appear without justifiable reasons, he or she may be prosecuted in accordance with Articles 12 and 15 of the Act on Testimony, Appraisal, etc. in the National Assembly.
