Celebrating the achievements of women in music and entertainment, the fourth annual Give Her FlowHERS Gala will recognize a diverse group of industry leaders and artists on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Beverly Hilton. The event, hosted by Femme It Forward, aims to uplift and empower women through recognition and mentorship opportunities.
A Night of Recognition: Honorees Announced
The 2025 gala will bestow several prestigious awards, acknowledging the multifaceted contributions of women in the music industry. Ciara will receive the Muse Award, a tribute to a “living legend whose legacy, impact and timeless music inspires past, current and future generations.”
Kehlani is set to be honored with the Alchemist Award, recognizing an artist who transforms personal struggles into powerful and enduring art. This recognition comes on the heels of two Grammy nominations announced last Friday, November 7, for best R&B song and best R&B performance with “Folded,” marking Kehlani’s first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Kehlani will also be celebrated at the ASCAP Women Behind the Music event on Wednesday, November 12.
Jhené Aiko will receive the Glow Getter Award, honoring women who prioritize wellness, self-care, and purpose. Aiko’s commitment to holistic well-being is exemplified by her self-care brand, Jhenetics, launched last year, offering a range of products designed to “nourish the spirit and cultivate balance from the inside out.”
Rising Stars and Industry Pioneers
The gala will also spotlight emerging talent and seasoned professionals. Mariah the Scientist will be presented with the Bloom Award, celebrating a breakthrough artist whose growth and artistry are flourishing. Her single “Burning Blue” reached No. 25 on the Hot 100, and her album Hearts Sold Separately peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, both career highs.
Normani will be honored with the Femme It Forward Award, recognizing her significant contributions and leadership within her industry and community. Nikki Taylor, mother of Teyana Taylor, will receive the Queens Raising Queens Award, acknowledging the vital role of mothers and maternal figures in empowering the next generation of female leaders. Teyana Taylor herself was a recipient of the Visionary Award in 2023 and received her first Grammy nomination for best R&B album with Escape Room.
Celebrating Leadership and Mentorship
The gala will also honor those shaping the industry from behind the scenes. Gail Mitchell, Billboard’s executive director of R&B and hip-hop, will be recognized with the Mentor Excellence Award for her dedication to nurturing the next generation of talent. Sylvia Rhone, a trailblazer and former chairwoman/CEO of Epic Records, will receive the Legacy Award, honoring her groundbreaking contributions to the entertainment industry. Rhone holds the distinction of being the first Black industry executive and woman to lead a major record company and was named Billboard’s Women in Music executive of the year in 2023.
A Commitment to Equity and Empowerment
“Every year, Give Her FlowHERS reminds me why this work matters,” stated a representative from Femme It Forward. “It’s about celebrating the women who show up, do the work and keep moving our culture and industry forward. For me, it’s not just about honoring them, it’s about creating a space where women feel seen, supported and inspired to take up space unapologetically.”
The 2025 gala, themed “Same Root. New Flower,” will also serve as a fundraiser for Next Gem Femme, Femme It Forward’s mentorship program. This initiative is dedicated to improving equity and expanding career opportunities for women in music and entertainment, fostering a supportive ecosystem rooted in community, creativity, and purpose.
