“Un Libro In Comune” returns to Cinisi (Palermo), the literary review now in its second edition promoted by the Municipality of Cinisi, directed by Franco Cascio and with the editorial coordination of the Mondadori Point in via Stabile 233 (Palermo). The appointments will take place, starting at 7 pm, in Piazza Pietro Venuti, freshly restored. It starts on June 18 with the new novel by Roberto Alajmo “La boffa allo scecco” (Sellerio), a new investigation by Giovanni Di Dio, known as Giovà, protagonist of the comic and grotesque mysteries of the Palermo writer. Camillo Scaduto talks with the author. Second appointment on July 3 with “The boys of Regalpetra” (Zolfo) by Gaetano Savatteri, accompanied by the writer Stefania Auci. In Sicily in the 1980s, a group of kids who grew up together eventually drift apart and become enemies.
On June 30 Stefania Auci again presents Giusy Sciacca with “Of love and anger” (Neri Pozza Editore). The eagerness for change of an archaic and sanguine Sicily that is torn under the thrust of a scandalous modernity. Last appointment on July 16 with “L’ostaggio” (Zolfo) by Enrico Bellavia. Presented by Elvira Terranova, the writer and journalist from Palermo tells the surreal story of Renato Cortese, a policeman who fought the mafia and who as a hunter found himself the prey.
