Passports‍ Now Require One-Year Wait for Replacement

The Passports, Nationality and Foreigners Affairs Authority ‌in Libya has ⁤issued a circular⁤ stating that ‌lost or damaged passports will no longer be⁤ issued‌ until​ one year has passed from the date of loss or ⁣damage. This measure is being taken in accordance ⁤with instructions from the Minister of Interior.

The Authority‌ advised citizens to ‍take extra care of their ⁢passports,‌ as ⁤there has‌ been a significant increase in ​reports of⁤ lost ⁣and damaged‌ documents. In urgent and humanitarian⁤ cases, exceptions can be requested and referred to the Authority’s⁢ management for⁢ consideration.

The‌ Authority also shared a Facebook post highlighting their commitment to⁤ addressing concerns ​related to lost or damaged passports.
