The contract, for an amount of 730,840 euros and with an execution period of eight months, includes a simulator with a student position and an instructor position and an observation space for other students. The simulator will be installed in the Workshops and Garages building of the Granada Metro and will improve the development of the skills necessary for driving. By simulating both the operation and breakdowns and incidents, it will allow these to be dealt with more effectively.
Advantages
The use of the simulator reduces the risks associated with circulation during the training and recycling activity and practical training on the route, which has less impact on the maintenance of trains, infrastructure and facilities and means less wear and tear on the trains. Furthermore, it can replace real circulation and does not limit the training hours to the times left free by the commercial service.
