Citizen watch: The flags of the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) fly in the commune of Pô
Po, Dec 31 2023 (AIB) – The flags of the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) now fly at Place Némaro de Pô. After the big cities, citizen monitoring which is the daily action for many supporters of the Transition, to monitor strategic places in the cities, has been exported to the city of Pô, province of Nahouri, noted the ‘AIB.
Board games like pétanque, checkerboard and lido, three large format flags of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger flying right next to it, a fire warming up because of the cold, the initiative comes from the patriots of Nahouri.
The location chosen for this activity is Place Némaro de Pô.
The initiators chose the east side of this emblematic Place Némaro de Pô right next to the national road No. 5 to meet every evening from 7 p.m. for citizen monitoring and support for the reforms undertaken by the Transition.
This Saturday, December 23, 2023, it is a few minutes past 9 p.m. and the square has already received the occupants of the day and some continued to come.
For Kassoum Tiemtoré, head of the Nahouri patriots, “We have been here since December 16, 2023; this space aims to be a gathering place for patriots. We are stationed here until Burkina Faso is completely liberated. It is also another way for us to support our Fighting Forces and to express our gratitude to the leaders of the country because we do not all have this chance to go and fight at the front,” he added.
“The initiative is carried by the patriots of Nahouri, but we ask all those who love peace, justice and security to go to Némaro Square to support or bring a message of comfort to the troops engaged in the reconquest of the territory national.”
The patriots of Nahouri say they pray night and day for the total and complete liberation of Burkina Faso.
