Some Vilnius residents have noticed a new tax on utility bills – the state flag fee. The company that manages the blocks of flats says the rate was introduced due to inflation and management costs have not changed for many years. However, the Ministry of the Environment believes that residents cannot be charged additional fees for displaying the flag.
