Citroen has decided to export the EC3 electric car manufactured in India to Indonesia. The company has released an official notification for this. According to this, the company is going to export it from Tamil Nadu. Let’s see detailed information about it.

Citroen, a French company, has set up a plant in India to manufacture and sell vehicles. The products of this company have gained good reputation among the people. Many people like to buy cars from this company because the company manufactures cars with excellent design.

In this case, Citroen has decided to manufacture its electric car EC3 in India and export it to foreign countries. Accordingly, the company has announced its first plan to export this car to Indonesia.

The company plans to export 500 EC3 cars manufactured in India to Indonesia through the Chennai port. Citroen’s EC3 recently underwent the Global NCAP test. The car received a 0-star rating for adult safety in this test.

At the same time, this car is only one star in child safety. The main reason for this is that this car does not have a lot of safety features and only two airbags are provided in this car. Not only that, it also lacks electronic stability control.

In India, the Citroen EC3 is priced between Rs 12.70 lakh and Rs 13.50 lakh. As for the motor in this car, it is designed to produce 57 PS of power and 143 Nm of torque.

As far as the battery pack installed in this car is concerned, a 29.2 kg watt hour lithium ion air cooled battery pack is installed. It is designed to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 6.8 seconds. The car is designed to travel at a maximum speed of 107 kmph.

As for this car’s charger, it takes 10 hours and 30 minutes to charge the battery from 10 to 100%. A 15 ams plug point charger is provided for this purpose. So far, a DC fast charger is provided to charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 57 minutes. It is powered by a 3.3 kilowatt charger.

The battery in this car is designed to give a range of up to 320 kilometers on a single charge. This is the first electric car that the company is exporting but earlier it was manufacturing the C3 petrol engine car in India and exporting it to South Asian countries and Africa.

DriveSpark Comment: Citroen is struggling to manufacture and sell cars in India. However, the cars manufactured in India are being exported to the world and are causing huge economic growth for India. The company is capitalizing on the trend of Indian-made electric cars doing well abroad.
