Citroen is working on introducing an electric version of its popular C3 compact hatchback model in the Indian market. The launch of the Citroen eC3 electric model will take place in the next few weeks. At this stage, a new teaser of the Citroen eC3 model has been released. Earlier, the spy pictures taken during the testing of this car have been published on the internet several times.

The Citroen eC3 model in the Indian market is priced at Rs. It is expected to start from 10 lakhs. This car will compete with the recently launched Tata Tiago EV in the Indian market. The latest teasers have clearly revealed how the electric hatchback will look from the front. Its overall appearance looks similar to its IC-engined model.

It seems that the only new change will be the removal of the tailpipe on the front fender and the provision of a charging port. The front has a double chevron grille, headlamps, LED daytime running lights. Features include an octagonal-shaped air intake, a bumper-mounted lighting unit and a faux skid plate.

The car is expected to offer a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, a four-speaker sound system, and steering wheel-mounted controls. Citroen is reportedly planning to use lithium ion phosphate cells in the new eC3 model.

The new Citroen eC3 model is powered by a 30.2 kWh battery and electric motor. This setup is capable of churning out 84 HP of power and 143 Nm of torque. It also comes with a 3.3kW AC charger. It seems that this car can go up to 350 kilometers on a full charge. Fast charging facility may also be provided along with this.
