London: After beating Leicester City 1-0, Manchester City is again at the top of the English Premier League on points. In the 49th minute, Kevin De Bruyne’s free kick scored City’s goal. Manchester City has 29 points from 12 games.
Manchester City came without super striker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian player was humbled by fever and a leg injury. Leicester’s defense was excellent against defending champions Manchester City. De Bruyne scored a free kick goal from 25 yards away. Later, Manchester City dominated the match, except for Leicester’s Yuri Telemans’ shot that hit the bar. Arsenal, who have 28 points, can go top of the points table if they win against Nottingham on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Chelsea suffered a shock defeat against Brighton. They defeated the Blue Army by 4-1. Newcastle beat Astonville (4-0), Tottenham beat Bournemouth (3-2) and Crystal Palace beat Southampton (1-0).
Huge win for Bayern
Munich: Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga. Bayern beat Mainz 6-2. Bayern’s scorers are Sergi Nabri, Jamal Musiala, Sadio Mane, Leon Gorska, Mathis Tell and Chaupo Motting. Sylvan Widmer and Marcus Ingwatsen netted for Mainz.
