The large participation at the inauguration of the Human Dog 23 exhibition “makes me think well, it means that we are making progress towards these innocent beings”. These are the words of Marco Mazzoli, creator and host of the 105 Zoo, present at the opening of the exhibition – which collects 40 of the 160 shots portraying dogs with their owners, taken by the photographer and journalist Silvia Amodio – which is held in the courtyard of Rocchetta del Castello Sforzesco in Milan, a project that is part of Alimenta l’Amore, the campaign promoted by Coop Lombardia in collaboration with the municipalities and local associations which consists of a permanent collection of pet food distributed to dogs and cats in difficulty .
With his four million radio listeners per episode, Marco Mazzoli makes his popularity available to echo the initiative. Alimenta l’Amore also nourishes a Community that grows every year and also welcomes within it many professionals, in the most varied fields, who want to give their contribution to talk about the relationship with animals. All in support of a theme that is of growing interest, animal welfare and the human-animal relationship, topics that are increasingly felt by the community: “It is a question of culture – according to Mazzoli – we should go back to teaching civic education at school, this would perhaps help to raise more awareness about animals, the environment and the delicacy of our planet”.
Mazzoli and his wife Stefania Pittaluga are involved in environmental protection initiatives in the United States, where they have lived for several years: “For 5 years now we have been part of a non-profit organization that frees beaches and parks from plastic. There is so much to do, there is so much to change. From this point of view, Italy is a little more active, in America for example there is no waste separation”. Mazzoli also signed the preface of the Human Dog 23 catalog which collects the shots of Silvia Amodio.
