The image of four migrants wearing T-shirts, jackets and even a Civil Guard service uniform cap in the surroundings of the Temporary Immigrant Internment Center (CETI) in Ceuta began to circulate on the networks on Saturday.

An act that could constitute a crime since the Penal Code in its article 402 bis punishes with a financial penalty anyone who “without being authorized publicly and improperly wears a uniform that is attributed an official character.”

After the snapshot was publicly disseminated, this Sunday an officer from the armed institute personally went to the CETI to request the return of the clothing, as confirmed by JUCIL sources to LA RAZÓN.

The professional association tells this newspaper that they will write to the General Directorate of the Civil Guard, dependent on the Interior, in order to find out who provided the uniform items to the migrants, how they reached the CETI and to see if it is clarified. those responsible whether or not they committed a criminal act.

Furthermore, they point out that it is clear that the ones in the photograph are new garments or that they have had very little use. “There are colleagues who have been waiting for years for a new shirt and they give you the jacket for the next ten years,” denounce the aforementioned sources.

The windbreaker and pants of the Civil Guard uniform are of very good quality, they explain, but the t-shirts, made of synthetic fabric, cannot last more than two or three wears. “They do not meet European quality standards,” they point out, regarding the t-shirts that foreigners wore at least on Saturday.
