The Civil Protection Directorate introduced, on Monday, {that a} fireplace that broke out in business warehouses in central Baghdad had been extinguished.
The Directorate stated in a press release obtained by the (INA): “Civil Protection groups extinguished a fireplace that broke out inside a gable constructed of “ginko” panels, in violation of security directions, used as a warehouse for bikes and extremely flammable lighter gasoline cylinders, chaotic, with various storage, missing the minimal security situations and protection necessities within the Al-Nahda space, Al-Dhilal Road, central Baghdad.”
She added, “The groups have been mobilized and contained the fireplace within the burning gable, eliminated the hazard of the fireplace spreading, managed it, and rescued 9 adjoining gables full of numerous items and in violation of security situations.”
She added, “A request was made to open an investigation on the police station liable for the geographical space and to summon a forensic professional to find out the causes of the preliminary outbreak of the fireplace and to carry accountable those that have been negligent in implementing the occupational security procedures issued by the Civil Protection Directorate regardless of the Directorate’s earlier warnings.”
