The candidate for Head of Government for the “Let’s Keep Making History” coalition, Clara Brugada Molina, has issued a forceful condemnation against the political use that the opposition intends to make of the alleged discovery of an alleged clandestine crematorium in Mexico City during the current electoral process.
From an assembly in the Pedregal de San Nicolás neighborhood, third section, in Tlalpan, Brugada expressed his solidarity with the search groups of missing persons, mainly with the mothers and relatives of the victims, highlighting the importance of not politicizing an issue as sensitive as this.
“I deeply respect the work of the search groups and I join in solidarity with the mothers who have dedicated their lives to finding their children. This is a delicate matter in which I will always be on the side of the victims“he emphasized.
The candidate regretted the opposition’s attempt to politically capitalize on this case, especially one month before the elections in Mexico City.
He stressed that the authorities have acted diligently, carrying out the corresponding investigations and determining that there is no evidence of the presence of a clandestine crematorium or clandestine graves.
“It is regrettable that, before the investigation was completed, the opposition tried to confuse the population and relate this issue to the candidacies. The authorities have confirmed that there is no evidence of a crematorium or human remains, and the supposedly missing people are alive,” he said.
Clara Brugada urged that both the work of the search companies and the authorities be respected, without politically using an issue that requires being addressed with sensitivity and responsibility.
The candidate expressed her discontent at the attempt to generate discord and take advantage of the situation for political purposes.
“It is essential that political parties show a greater level of awareness and respect towards this very delicate issue. Let us not allow the pain of the victims to be exploited for electoral purposes,” Brugada concluded.
