The head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada Molinaannounced this Tuesday a series of appointments and ratifications to integrate its expanded Cabinet, with the aim of strengthening its administration and continuing with the transformation of the capital.
Among the most notable appointments is that of Monica Pacheco Skidmorewho was designated as General Coordinator of the Supply Central (CEDA).
Pacheco, with a degree in Social Anthropology, has worked on rural, environmental and economic development projects, highlighting her work in the transformation of the Chapultepec Forest.
On the other hand, Beatriz Rojas Martínez was named head of the capital’s System for the Comprehensive Family Development (DIF-CDMX).
Rojas, a law graduate, has a solid track record in defending human rights and gender equality policies, which reinforces the city’s commitment to social well-being.
The president also appointed Daniela Cordero Arenas as general director of Fund for the Social Development of Mexico City (FONDESO), who has experience in human rights and constitutional law, already Braulio Luna as general director of Capital 21the city’s Public Media Service channel. Luna has an outstanding career as a journalist and political analyst.
Another key appointment is that of Jose Carlos Acosta Ruizformer mayor of Xochimilco, as General Coordinator of Human Capital of the Secretariat of Administration and Finance.
Acosta has been a promoter of the cultural and environmental development of the capital, highlighting his work in protecting Xochimilco as a tourist and natural space.
In the housing field, María Guadalupe Chávez Contreras was appointed general coordinator of Housing Units of the Ministry of Housing, while Marcela Fuente Castillo assumed the direction of the Youth Institute of Mexico City (INJUVE), strengthening policies in favor of young people.
For its part, Ana Villagran Villasanaa prominent animal rights advocate, was appointed general director of the Animal Care Agency (AGATAN), y Amaya Ordorika Imaz was appointed head of the Institute for the Care and Prevention of Addictions (MARE), where it will promote a public health and social justice approach.
In the environmental field, Humberto Adán Peña Fuentes He was appointed general director of the Commission of Natural Resources and Rural Development (CORENADR), standing out for his previous work in the protection of natural areas.
Finally, Clara Brugada ratified Javier Hidalgo Ponce as General Coordinator of the Community Education Subsystem “Pillars”, and María del Rosario Castro Escorcia and Renato Berrón Ruiz as directors of Metrobús and the Institute for Construction Safety, respectively.
